Department of Counseling & Educational Psychology

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology is at the forefront of meeting regional and national needs for counseling and counselor education. The department's faculty are recognized for their scholarship, service, and teaching. Our programs provide students the knowledge, counseling experience, and clinical skills to work in schools, the community, and related settings.


Master of Science Program

Offering the following specializations:

  • Addictions Counseling
  • Clinical Mental Health Counseling
  • Marriage, Couple, & Family Counseling
  • School Counseling

Doctoral Program

Counselor Education (Ph.D.)

Preparing counselor educators and counselors for leadership positions, both regionally and nationally.


Counseling for the community

The Counseling and Training Clinic offers counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and children free of charge.

All sessions are facilitated by counselor trainees. Sessions are completely private and confidential and are supervised by fully trained licensed professionals in an environment of safety and trust. Learn more
